The incidents of The Baldoon Mystery took place in Wallaceburg of Ontario, between 1830 ad 1840. There, was a piece of land which had great demand to be bought. A man named John McDonald eventually acquired it, but still offers were repeatedly made as repeatedly were turned down by John. Notably an old woman was very persistent making offers.

One day, some young female members of the family, were working in the barn, when a pole fell from the ceiling startling them. The cause was attributed to natural causes, and did not alarm anyone. Until a 2^nd pole fell sometime after the 1^st event. Again, nothing could explain the fall, so the girls got back to work. But when a 3^rd pole fell close to them, endangering them, they ran straight to the house full of terror and fear.

After that, all kinds of strange incidents began in the house of the McDonald family. They began to hear people marching through the kitchen, but no one was there. Invisible hands were throwing every day stones and bullets through the windows. Windows were found broken every day. A visitor got hit by a stone in the chest while standing in the kitchen

A friend told them of an alleged gifted woman, who they visited. The woman asked if they have noticed an unusual bird around the house. They recalled seeing a black-headed goose. She advised them to wound the bird with a silver bullet.

John one day spotted the goose and hit it on the wing, breaking it. After that he went to encounter the old woman who persistently tried to buy the land. She was seated on the porch of her house with her arm broken.car hire canada
